Rare Pinkish Purple Tourmaline 1.92 CT | Pear Cut, Alto Ligonha, Mozambique
A vivid pinkish purple bi-color one of a kind 1.92 carat tourmaline. The pear cut shows a balanced outline, bright open table, and well aligned facets that return even reflections along the length of the stone. Transparency is high and the face reads clean with only minute internal features typical of natural elbaite. Under rotation you can see gentle pleochroism shifting between magenta and violet, a hallmark of this composition. The polish is excellent with a crisp vitreous luster.
This gem comes from Mozambique’s Alto Ligonha pegmatite field, a classic source where lithium rich granitic pegmatites crystallized tourmaline in a range of colors. Manganese is the chief chromophore for the pink to purple palette, sometimes aided by minor iron that nudges the tone toward violet. Within the production, strongly saturated pinkish purple stones are much less common than greens or standard rubellites let alone a bi-color in pinkish purple. Limited pocket style mining and variable output add to the rarity of fine examples like this.
Fully certified for authenticity and quality, comes with a sensory experience that you won't forget. Don't miss your chance to own this stunning piece of earth wonder.
